Mansion in medieval village
The house has an indoor surface of around 350m2. On the ground floor is a large open space that stretches from the entrance to sunny, with a sitting area with a wood stove, an open kitchen with a bar and a dining table for 8. A large window can be opened all the way to a beautiful private and walled patio with a small pool of 2x3 m. and garden furniture. A door in the living area opens onto a spacious double bedroom with its own bathroom ensuite.
On the first floor are two double bedrooms with their own bathrooms, one of which has a window opening onto a balcony with easy chairs and a view of the patio.
On the third floor is a large space with a slanted roof and 2+2 beds that sleep up to 4 children, as well as a double bedroom that can be closed off with a sliding door and a full bathroom with a shower that is connected to the main space.
All rooms have windows with lovely views of the monuments around the house.
The bedrooms on the first and second floor have air conditioning, while the ground floor always stays fresh and doesn't need it.
The house is situated in front of a church in a quiet part of the old town of Oropesa de Toledo, a very picturesque village with typical Toledo-style architecture and several interesting monuments amongst which the Castle of the Condes de Oropesa, which is now a Parador hotel and restaurant. The village and its surroundings have a great selection shops and of excellent restaurants, most of which are within walking distance from the house.
The house is at an hour and a half's drive from Madrid, and at half an hour from the nature paradise of La Vera, at the foot of the Sierra de Gredos and with an endless amount of beautiful hiking trails and idyllic mountain rivers with rock pools where one can go for a swim.
